THE PROBLEM
A homeowner in Tarrant County started noticing water collecting along one side of their concrete walkway after every rainstorm. Over time, sections of the walkway began settling unevenly, creating low spots where water would sit for days.
The longer the issue continued, the worse the settlement became.
Like many areas across North Texas, Tarrant County experiences shifting clay soil and heavy rain cycles. When water consistently drains beneath concrete slabs, it washes out supporting soil and creates empty spaces underneath the walkway.
The homeowner wanted a repair solution that would:
- Stop water from pooling near the home
- Lift the uneven walkway safely
- Prevent future settlement issues
- Avoid replacing decorative concrete
- Restore curb appeal without major disruption
OUR 3-STEP CONCRETE LIFTING PROCESS

1 Drill
We drilled small, precise holes through the affected walkway slabs to reach the empty space underneath the concrete.
2 Pump
High-density polyurethane foam was injected below the slab. As the foam expanded, it filled voids, stabilized the soil, and carefully lifted the walkway back into position.
3 Patch
After the concrete was level again, the small drill holes were patched cleanly so the walkway looked neat and ready for immediate use.
Because the holes are small and strategically placed, they are barely noticeable once the project is complete.
THE RESULT
Within just a few hours, the walkway was restored to a safe, level condition.
Water was no longer pooling against the concrete. The homeowner regained proper drainage, improved appearance, and eliminated the uneven sections creating safety concerns.
Best of all, the repair was completed without demolition or replacing the slab.
- No long curing times
- No heavy equipment
- Minimal disruption to the property
- Immediate use after lifting
WHY CONCRETE SETTLES IN TARRANT COUNTY
Soil movement and drainage issues are some of the biggest causes of concrete settlement across Tarrant County. During wet periods, soil expands. During dry periods, it shrinks and pulls away from the slab.
Over time, this movement creates voids beneath sidewalks, walkways, and driveways.
Once water starts pooling near concrete, the problem often accelerates. The longer it sits, the more supporting soil can wash away underneath.
Our polyurethane foam repair process addresses the issue below the slab — not just the visible surface problem.
