Driveway Approach Settling Near the Garage Repaired in Pottsboro, TX

THE PROBLEM

A homeowner in Pottsboro noticed the driveway approach leading into the garage had gradually settled over the years. The concrete had dropped enough to create an uneven transition, causing water to collect near the garage after heavy rain and making it uncomfortable to drive over every day.

As is common throughout North Texas, changing moisture levels and expansive clay soil had caused the ground beneath the driveway to shift. Over time, voids formed under the slab, allowing the concrete to settle.

The homeowner wanted a solution that would:

Lift the driveway approach back to a safe, even height
Improve drainage away from the garage
Eliminate the rough transition between slabs
Avoid replacing the existing concrete
Complete the repair quickly with minimal disruption

OUR 3-STEP CONCRETE LIFTING PROCESS

1 Drill
Small, strategically placed holes were drilled into the settled driveway approach to access the empty space beneath the concrete.

2 Pump
High-density polyurethane foam was injected beneath the slab. As the foam expanded, it filled underground voids, stabilized the supporting soil, and carefully lifted the driveway back into position.

3 Patch
After the driveway was properly aligned, the small drill holes were patched neatly, leaving the surface clean and ready for immediate use.

Because the holes are minimal in size, they blend into the existing concrete once the repair is complete.

THE RESULT

In just a few hours, the driveway approach was restored to a smooth, level condition.

The transition into the garage became much more even, helping improve vehicle access while directing water away from the home instead of allowing it to collect near the garage entrance.

The homeowner avoided the expense and inconvenience of replacing the driveway while receiving a long-lasting repair.

Immediate use after completion
No concrete demolition
Improved drainage
Restored curb appeal
Stabilized soil beneath the slab

WHY DRIVEWAY APPROACHS SINK IN POTTSBORO

Driveway approaches in Pottsboro often settle because of the area’s expansive clay soils. During wet weather the soil swells, and during dry periods it shrinks. This continual movement can leave unsupported gaps beneath concrete slabs.

Water runoff near the garage can also wash away supporting soil, allowing the concrete to sink even further over time.

Polyurethane foam lifting restores support beneath the slab while raising the concrete with precision, helping prevent additional settlement.
